Before Miley Cyrus was even born, Dolly Parton was already becoming an important part of her family’s life.

In 1992, Billy Ray Cyrus was touring with Dolly as “Achy Breaky Heart” was becoming a huge hit. The two musicians grew close, and when Billy Ray told Dolly that he and his wife were expecting a baby girl, he asked her to become the child’s honorary godmother.

Dolly said yes.

That baby was Miley. ❤️

And over the years, their relationship became much more meaningful than a simple honorary тιтle.
