When Michiel Vandeweert was diagnosed with Progeria as a child, his family knew his life could be very different from that of other children.
Progeria is an extremely rare genetic condition that causes the body to age much faster than usual. Doctors knew it could significantly shorten his life expectancy. ๐
But Michiel refused to let a medical diagnosis become the definition of who he was.

Michiel loved football, video games and spending time with friends.
As he grew older, he began sharing his life with others through Instagram, YouTube and Twitch. He openly talked about living with Progeria, but he also showed the world his humor, pแดssions and everyday joys. ๐

Michielโs younger sister, Amber, also lived with Progeria.
The two shared something few people could truly understand โ the challenges of living with the same rare condition, but also countless memories and a special sibling bond.

Michiel pแดssed away in August 2026 at the age of 28. His exact cause of death was not publicly disclosed.
